We enjoyed a marvellous 8 day adventure to Bhutan, under the expert guidance of Amulet, its MD and the first-rate guide and driver assigned to us. Communication with Amulet was excellent from the start, with our questions answered patiently, until a suitable itinerary was constructed. From the moment of our arrival in Paro, we were captivated by the country and its people and guided through the experience with efficiency and care. We¹ve travelled extensively throughout this part of the world (though this was our first visit to Bhutan) and, in Mr Pelden, we experienced the best guide we¹ve ever had; so knowledgeable in Buddhism and local culture, but also so helpful and patient. He structured our hiking programme around our wishes – and our physical capabilities!

A group of five friends from Mexico decided to visit Bhutan, and we chose Amulet Luxury Travel Bhutan –based on a friend’s suggestion- to organize our trip. All of us have travelled extensively, but I can say that we were surprised by the level of the service provided by Mr. Tshering Tashi and by the Amulet team.
Bhutan is a country that truly exceeds one’s expectations, from the courtesy and kindness of the people, to the amazing beauty of the landscapes, and it is especially enjoyed when travelling with such a perfect organization.
For our trip, we were appointed two vans, one for us and one for our luggage, and we had an amazing Bhutanese friend to guide us: Mr. Kezang Tobgye and two great drivers. From the moment we arrived at the airport, everything flowed seamlessly: we were given a detailed and beautifully printed itinerary of the trip, we were taken to our hotel and had a specially arranged cultural show for us. The itinerary included visits to the main architectural sites, rafting on the Pho Chhu River in Punakha, attending religious festivals and walking through the forest to visit the Black-neck Cranes at the Phobijika Valley. All the places we visited during our stay were unbelievable, the hotels they chose were perfect and we couldn’t have been happier throughout our whole journey. It was one of the best travels of my life.
I will return to Bhutan soon, and I will certainly choose Amulet to organize everything. I want to thank Mr. Tshering Tashi and the whole Amulet team for this unforgettable experience.

I can easily say that Amulet is one of the most professional tour operators I have ever travelled with. From our first email query until the finish of our tour, it could not have possibly been made any easier for us. Our guide was so courteous and friendly, and his knowledge of Bhutanese culture and history really made a big difference to our experience of Bhutan. He was also very patient and very helpful every step of the way, especially when we decided that we needed to shop for more souvenirs! Our driver was also excellent, making sure we felt safe at all times on some of the hairpin turns. The vehicle was very comfortable and clean at all times. This was really important on some of the days where you can be driving up to 6 hours.
All of our accommodation was perfect, in stunning locations and with brilliant food and service. I especially like the hot-stone bath after spending the day hiking up to Taktsang Monastery.
We have travelled all over the world, and can easily say that Bhutan is one of the most beautiful countries we have visited with stunning scenery, and very friendly people. The itinerary Amulet designed for us was absolutely perfect. To say our tour to Bhutan with Amulet exceeded our expectations is an understatement. We will be back!

Many thanks for an unforgettable visit to Bhutan. Every day we had an amazing experience, and our head and hearts are now full of wonderful memories. Having been to Bhutan a number of times before, we had very specific activities we wanted to do, places we wanted to stay and things we wanted to see, and you managed to accommodate every one of our requests, some which were not very easy. We are so grateful to you, and especially to our driver and guide. They really couldn’t do enough to make sure our trip went seamlessly, were very helpful and friendly and coped with all our ‘wants’.
The village festival without a single other tourist was a real highlight, along with the dance performance at our dinner, and the picnic on the banks of the river in Punakha. This was the best trip we have had to Bhutan yet, and we will be sure to recommend Amulet to anyone contemplating travel to Bhutan in the future. It has been a pleasure, and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
